In April, 2021 during the trial stage of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, Pfizer was creating documents on outcomes of clinical trials based on age, sex and overall safety. Within the 500 000 page document it blatnely states that within the 3 month trial there had been 1,223 fatalities from the Pfizer's mRNA vaccine. Pfizer handed over the documents to the FDA for approval in May, 2021 and to our surprise the FDA said the vaccine was "totally safe", comlpetley disregarding the fatalities and other negative outcomes as show in the image below. However, at this time, the FDA had kept the documents hidden from the public. Fast forward to August, 2021, the FDA approved Pfizer's mRNA vaccine to prevent COVID-19. As the months went on and people started to see the adverse effects, a group of people requested under the FOIA act to see the COVID-19 vaccine documents from the FDA.
In the United States there’s a law called the FOIA or Freedom of Information Act. This law gives the public the right to request records and information from any federal agency, such as the FDA. After the approval of vaccines back in August, a group of people requested the documents on the COVID-19 vaccine. The people requesting the documents asked for the process to be expedited as the government was already rolling out mandates in regards to the
vaccine. Although the people have the right to ask for an expedited process, the FDA only has 10 people working in that department, and to tie up all their resources to redact the information and prepare it would be insane. In response, the FDA sent a letter to the applicants stating that the matter was not urgent in their eyes and refused the original request.
With 400 000 pages from Pfizer, the FDA came up with a more fair counter offer. The FDA said they would release 500 pages a month. The FDA was clearly tired from approving all those pages in only a few months, and the review has to take place potentially line by line. The FDA wants to make sure that they avoid a system where a few large requests monopolize very limited resources. At the rate of 500 pages per month, out of 400 000, they should be done releasing all the documents in about 55 years. Have fun waiting! In the meantime let’s sit back and watch the government continue to take advantage of the situation and place more mandates on an understudied vaccine.
It’s unfortunate that the government has mandated the COVID-19 vaccine before we can go through all the requested documents to make sure it’s safe, let alone mandated. Although the documents on Pfizer’s vaccines have started being released, it won’t be completed until 2076. Even if we find critical information and evidence to end the vaccine mandate and to push the mRNA vaccine back into trial, Pfizer has full immunity to any financial and health related liability. Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, has also set up $9 billion in funding towards vaccines and therapeutics. So what do you think is really going to happen?
